Disadvantages of using Blogger – Limitations, on layout, content, and advertisers. They can for ANY reason just delete your blog. Beyond their limited options, you will need to know some coding to make customizations. Our training will cover this briefly and show you some simple ones you can use right away. And it does not give a professional impression if your using it for a business.

WordPress GiftBlog
WordPress is an open source blogging platform. It's easy to use for beginners and you do not need to know code to use it. It does however have a slight lesrning curve. And there aremany tricks and tips that can create an awesome site.
Pros of using WordPress - You have much more control with a WordPress blog. It is housed on your hosting account. You decide what kind of content, ads, etc that will be on your site. You can design it to look like just about anything you want, a blog, eCommerce site, or a traditional static website.
WordPress is easy to learn and easy to use, mostly point and click. If you are using your site for a business your own .com, .net.org, etc will make you look more professional and credible.
You can publish what you want and how you want without fear that it will disappear someday. There are far more free wordpress themes ( or styles/layouts) and plugins available than there are for any other blogging format. Because it's open source, it is constantly being developed and improved.
Disadvantages of using WordPress - There are only a few disadvantages, but I believe the pros far outweigh them. Since the site sits on your hosting account, you will have to pay a small monthly fee. You will also have to purchase a domain for your new site. Both of these are very inexpensive.
You are responsible for updating the WP software- but it's become extremely easy. All you have to do is click the automatic upgrade button. You have to install and configure the software. Eventhough most of the settings are easily navigated and are self- explanitory the WP dashboard has many options and settings. So there is a small learning curve, but you still don't have to know any code and we make it easy for you- installation and configuration of your GiftBlog is included.
